This Atlas 1.3 series Cat 2 HDMI interconnect with silver plated conductors can transfer data at a much higher rate (UP TO 10.2Gbps, or over twice the speed of earlier versions). It's accordingly more flexible than older 1.1 or 1.2 versions: for example, The Atlas 1.3 series HDMI has the data capacity to support the new Dolby True HD and DTS-HD, Blue-ray and HD-DVD and xvYCC colour. Not only sound, but pictures benefit too: The Atlas HDMI 1.3 can transfer up to and including 24 bits (in a system that's called Deep Colour), which allows for spectacular increases in colour realism.

Note:

There is a lot of confusion over the lengths of HDMI cable that will work over longer distances particularly for 1080P. The extraordinary claims notwithstanding, below are the official test results from the HDMI association. In order to run longer lengths than those recommended, a repeater / extender amplifier should be employed.

The latest 1.3 standard brings increased data bandwidth as well as extended digital sound and colour capabilities. Where the 1.0 standard asked for cable-designs to support up to 165 MHz speeds, the new 1.3 standard requires cables to be able to transport signals up to 340 MHz (an increased bandwidth of 10.2 Gbps). Additionally, HDMI 1.3 supports the new xvYCC color space (and up to 16-bit per component color depth) as well as added support for the Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio standards. It further adds features to automatically correct audio video synchronization (lip sync).

3D Compatibility

We have tested this cable with an Oppo BDP-95 3d Blu-Ray Player and a Samsung 8 Series LED Television and can confirm that this cable worked perfectly with a 3D Blu-Ray Disc.

We cannot guarantee every combination of player/amp or player/screen, but it is capable of showing 3d in our test system.
