Chord generally favour a combination of silver-plated conductors and Teflon insulation, believing that this produces an extremely neutral tonal characteristic.

The Codac Silver Plus however uses a low-density gas foamed polyethylene insulator in order to reduce the dielectric constant. This allows us to produce an extremely cost effective and accurate digital interconnect. The heavy gauge of the central silver-plated signal conductor makes the Codac Silver Plus an excellent choice for use in home cinema systems where a digital signal often needs to be carried over a considerable distance. The foil and silver-plated braid shielding system ensures high levels of protection from interference, a critical factor, given the complexity of many home cinema set-ups.

As well as high performance silver-plated RCA/phono connections the Codac Silver Plus can also be supplied terminated with High Quality silver-plated BNC plugs.
